SGHPS is a co-educational senior Secondary School affiliated to C.B.S.E. Delhi vide affiliation No. 1630109. With the blessings of Mahant Tirath Singh Ji Sewa Panthi (a Beacon of Education & Charity) the school was inaugurated by J.S. Quami, the then Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda on Sunday 8th of March 1987 at 2p.m. Mahant Tirath Singh Ji Sewa Panthi was the founder Chairman of Sri Guru Harkrishan Education Trust which was established in 1987 with the sole aim of opening educational institutions to impart quality education with all the modern amenities for the children in and around Bathinda. The School Managing Body & Trust comprises of eminent figures of the society, who are the visionary doyens of their respective fields be it spiritual, religious, business or education.
