School History

Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Bathinda is a co-educational senior secondary school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi vide affiliation no. 1630109. The school was established in 1987 under the aegis of Sri Guru Harkrishan Education Trust. Mahant Tirath Singh Ji, Sewa Panthi was the founder Chairman of the trust which comprises of distinguished personalities from various spheres of eminence be it religious, education or business. All the trust members have selflessly rendered their services towards the institution which was set up with the noble objective to impart quality education with all the modern amenities.

The foundation stone of SGHPS was laid on 8th of March, 1987 by J.S.Quami, the then Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda in the presence of the august gathering. The school centers on the commitment to academic excellence, intellectual growth, high standard of ethical awareness, sportsmanship & community service. SGHPians proudly upholds excellence in all fields with emphasis on our motto, “Nischay Kar Apni Jeet Karon”.

SGHPS has more that 2500 students on its rolls on a two acre campus in the heart of Bathinda city. The school has best building plans & Escape Routes & Open Space keeping the Fire Safety norms in view. In additions to the spacious classrooms SGHPS Bathinda adheres to the policy of making separate provision for other learning activities like Music Room, Science Labs, Computer Lab, Activity Room, Art & Craft Room, Library, reading room, Separate Sports Grounds, Smart Class System etc.
